The Ivy Asia – Chelsea

25 minute bus ride from The Belgrave
11 minute car ride from The Belgrave

The Ivy Asia in Chelsea is one of the most gorgeous-looking restaurants. It has blossom trees dotted around and some incredible styling that will give you so many good photos you’ll wonder if you’ve ended up in a film set. The floor alone is a wonderful mix of green, gold and yellow circles that give a feel of walking on a bed of lily pads, the ceiling is full of different Southeast Asian art, and every dish is created with the care and attention you’d expect from The Ivy Group.

There are always fabulous events happening at The Ivy Asia, Chelsea, such as the World Sake Masterclass, which will take place on the 1st of October, 2023.

The restaurant has an extremely well-thought-out menu with some amazing dishes from all over Southeast Asia. If seafood is your thing, then you should try the Ivy Asia Black Shell – which will make your friends green with envy. Dining at The Ivy Asia in Chelsea is an experience you will never forget.

Sketch – Soho

9 Conduit St, London W1S 2XG *Located centrally in Soho*
19 minute tube ride from the Belgrave

Sketch is so unbelievably quirky and instantly Instagrammable as soon as you set foot through the door. A delightful tea house situated in an 18th-century townhouse. This has so many different rooms that you’ll want to explore each one and come back for more exquisite food. With some interior design that will have you reaching for your phone whenever you can, this has 5 separate areas to eat or have a drink.

The Parlour is open for breakfast and lunch. Before cocktails are served from 6pm, it’s a fun and family-friendly atmosphere here, perfect for a late brunch with the family on a Sunday.

The Lecture Room and Library serves lunch and dinner and is a delightful space for a more intimate dining experience.

The Glade is a fantastic mini forest in the building where you can grab breakfast, lunch, light bites and a couple of cocktails. Perfect for a girls’ day out.

The Gallery is the main section, they recently changed it from pale pink to a burst of citrus colours which gives it the brightness it deserves. The food is afternoon tea or an a la carte dinner menu, and you’ll be breathless with how Instagrammable the room and the food is.

Finally, the East Bar & Pods are the cocktail bar and DJ area, ready for your Friday or Saturday night of dancing and having a good time – why not post about it and tag Sketch in?

The Churchill Arms – Kensington

119 Kensington Church St, London W8 7LN
33 minute by public transport
20 minute drive
*Close to Kensington Palace and Notting Hill Gate station*

One of the oldest pubs in London, the Churchill Arms is a firm favourite amongst the Instagram set. The outside is a fantastic array of beautiful flowers that draw you in. If you look on Instagram for The Churchill Arms, you are greeted with a whole host of photos of the flowers, the delicious cocktails inside and the food.

The Churchill Arms is also a Chelsea Flower Show winner; it keeps its flowers looking fresh all year round and is one of a handful of pubs that hold a Chelsea Flower Show award. We think it looks incredible!

However, once you head in, you may think you’re inside a regular pub, but you’d be wrong. There is so much Churchill memorabilia on the wall, as Churchill’s grandparents were frequent visitors to the pub. The flowers and plants indoors are just as colourful and beautiful as the ones outside, adding to the charm of the place.

Grab a menu and choose from a range of authentic Thai dishes made to order by the Thai Kitchen chefs, The Churchill Arms is not as traditional a pub as you first thought. Yes, there are events like the Rugby World Cup and other sporting events that might give it a pub feel; but away from the hustle and bustle of London, this restaurant is truly spectacular and well worth a visit and an Instagram post.

SushiSamba – Covent Garden

35 The Mkt, London WC2E 8RF
22 minute on public transport
*Located centrally in Covent Garden*

At The Belgrave, we’re a big fan of greenery to make us feel more open, at one with the world and feel more relaxed – so the SushiSamba has to appear on this list. With its forest-like ceiling and amazing Southeast Asian work on the walls, it is an impressive sight. Take a seat outside on the balcony and watch Covent Garden below, surrounded by the sights and sounds of a busy kitchen that will serve up delicious cuisines from Brazil, Japan and Peru for you and your companions.

The benches that run through the centre of the restaurant, as well as the plush velvet seating of the booths, add to the opulence of the restaurant. SushiSamba is one of the only restaurants in the world to serve authentic Kobe Beef, which is worth the trip alone. You’ll be swept away by the different flavours that the chefs put together here and create some dishes that you won’t forget in a hurry.

You can also book the restaurant for private dining and events, so you can dine in the impressive private room with a capacity of up to 15 people, ideal for a small birthday party or business meeting where you want to impress that important client.

SushiSamba is ideal for Instagram as it is so photogenic and in one of the best places in London to see and be seen.

Jacuzzi – Kensington

94 Kensington High St, London W8 4SJ
24 mins on the tube from The Belgrave
Nearest Tube station is Kensington

The first of two entries on this list from the Big Mamma restaurant group, Jacuzzi is designed with luxury in mind. It describes itself as a ‘divine Italian mansion where the naughtiest fantasies come to life’, which may sound a bit flashy, but when you walk in, you’ll understand what they mean.

The design is unashamedly Sicilian with a mezzanine on the third floor; think dripping crystal chandeliers, beautiful mosaic flooring and then lots and lots of greenery. Even a sprawling tree takes up some of the lower dining room. We highly recommend getting a few photos of the intense decor as you look over the four floors.

The food is just as impressive as the interior design, with the head chef taking Neapolitan food to the extreme, using fresh ingredients. The pizzas are traditional, the chocolate is rich, and the wine is perfectly Italian.

If you want to check out more Big Mamma restaurants, look below at Circolo Popolare.

Circolo Popolare – Fitzrovia

40-41 Rathbone Pl, London W1T 1HX
23 mins via the tube from The Belgrave
*Central location and close to many attractions*
*Book well in advance*

The second of the Big Mamma restaurants on this list, and we love this restaurant. It is set out very similar to a traditional Sicilian bistro, with wine lining the sides in half-circle alcoves to truly give it that authentic look – take a glance up and see a plant ceiling giving you the feeling of being out in a square under the stars. The choice of food is a flavoursome mix of Sicilian and the Mediterranean. The plates are incredibly well thought out and will leave your mouth watering – the metre-long pizzas are worth the trip alone.

The terrace seating is open throughout the year, and we think you’ll love being able to take some photos underneath the twinkling lights that will look perfect on your Instagram feed.

For brunch, take a look at the classic brunch menu with some Italian-inspired twists. There is so much to look at in Circolo Popolare that you’ll be hard-pressed to find another restaurant quite like it – it did, after all become the unofficial winner of being the most Instagrammable Restaurant in London in 2019.

14 Hills – Central London

14th floor, 120 Fenchurch St, London EC3M 5AL
30 minutes from Belgrave via public transport

14 Hills is based on Fenchurch Street and is a stunning restaurant on the 14th floor of an office building, providing an incredible view of the city, which looks even better at night. The whole restaurant looks gorgeous as you wind your way through the greenery and trees that are dotted about. The overall decor look is classy yet exotic and they go all out during the festive season. Its menu is a mixture of French and British cuisines that have been crafted by the team of chefs who are dedicated to making your experience at 14 Hills one of the best you’ll get in London.

Unlike some of the other restaurants, they have their own Instagram page and there are plenty of Instagrammable photo opportunities throughout the restaurant. The bar is an almost circular section of the restaurant, decorated with plants and wooden slats around the bottom; you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve magically been transported to a tiki bar in the Caribbean. Grab the girls for brunch, this place is ideal for a variety of different celebrations, including baby showers, hen do’s and chilled-out after-work drinks. Book in for Christmas or New Years’ Eve to see how they celebrate in the sky.

JOIA – Battersea

London Battersea Power Station, 15th Floor, 1 Electric Boulevard, London SW11 8BJ
30 minute walk from The Belgrave

Inspired by the Michelin-starred chef Henrique Sa Passoa’s upbringing in Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula, this restaurant is a delight of flavours. Located on the 15th floor in the newly refurbished London Battersea Power Station, you’ll be able to find plenty to take photos of here.

JOIA serves up lunch or dinner, along with cocktails inspired by the bar scene in Lisbon. Take a look at their rooftop terrace and see all across the City of London, the amazing views will make a worthy Instagram post, we’re sure!

Passoa has worked hard to create a menu that uses the Iberian dishes that he grew up with and the freshest British ingredients to give you the most fabulous flavours, colours and textures in your meal. Everything has been meticulously designed and planned to the most minute detail, and it shows.

The decor has a very subtle Wes Anderson vibe, with lots of muted pinks, corals and greens. It’s fabulous, quirky and lots of fun in JOIA, which means jewel in Portuguese, and this is definitely a jewel in the new Battersea Power Station.

We love all of these restaurants, and they have some great opportunities inside to get the most perfect photo for you to upload onto your Instagram. Don’t forget to tag them in!
